I founded and led Pristine Academy to bring young scientists from all over the world to speak for the ocean!

Without the oceans and rivers, we as a species cannot continue. They provide us with some amazing eco-solutions like alternative energy and so much more!

But they are undergoing some serious stressors, like Plastic & Mercury Pollution, Ocean acidification, Dying Coral Reefs, Ocean Dead Zones. 

We are young scientists coming together to set up a student summit to solve these challenges.

Pristine Academy gives an opportunity for students who are working on ocean projects to connect and collaborate face to face, and online, all over the world, to advocate and design innovative solutions.

Many of us strive to make effective positive change, but our voices, our inspiration and our abilities lack a central meeting ground, a togetherness that is needed to create systemic change. This isolation leads to inertia and even worse to an ambivalence and even worse than this, to an apathy, that once rooted in a person is hard to change.

As Pristine Academy proves, there are voices from around the world who want to make a difference. To create a positive tsunami to affect positive change, we need to overcome contributing factors such as a lack of understanding of how ecosystems work and the interdependencies of species and water, flora and fauna.

We are serving not only the physical wellbeing of billions of people, we are serving the creative impulse that lives inside us. If people feel powerless to effect change, if they dream of a pristine world that cannot be, they lose hope– they lose the ability to dream and create and build–in reality they lose the essence of what it means to be human.
