I am working on a project to use a biochemical material that can be used in a very efficient way to reduce the depletion of natural resources, CO2 emissions and, is cost effective. This research paper touches some of my favorite subjects, like -Structural Engineering, Space, Biochemical elements, Nanotechnology, Robotics, and Programming.

My goal behind this project is to be able to enhance architecture and space construction, by using protocells, which are “programmable building blocks” that behave like a living organism. There are several different types of protocells and the inanimate types are chemically engineered or “programmed” to be able to follow traces of other chemicals, travel towards and away from light, and much much more. They are able to self-organize, and are currently being implemented in Venice, which is sinking. The protocells move the natural limestone in nature, to support the foundational structures in Venice.

These protocells will help revolutionize construction in Space. Today, building in space requires transporting expensive and heavy resources, but it does not have to be this way. If we want to build a large structure, all we will need is to pre-build a scaffold. It is necessary to create a scaffold that will help shape the growth of the protocells and hold nutrients that are essential for the protocells to grow and divide.

This biotechnology has many possibilities including growing a Dyson sphere, which is a mega structure that encompasses a star and can capture almost all of its energy. The Dyson sphere itself would grow from the energy from the sun, radiation from space, and the nutrients from the scaffolding. This could then be used to generate huge amounts of energy and help humanity become a type Ⅱ civilization on the Kardashev scale. This energy could not only be used on planet earth but could be used to make transportation, like a lightcraft driven by laser propulsion.

Also with the biotechnology that can survive on Mars and in space, we could grow buildings on other planets by using the toxic gasses and radiation. Similarly to photosynthesis, the biotechnology would have an input of carbon dioxide and toxic gasses and an output of oxygen, and the technology would create structures/buildings and making the planet habitable for humans as well. This could also be used on Earth to balance greenhouse gas levels

Finally, you could create space stations or an interstellar ark that will grow and could hold all of the humanity to travel to other planets. This technology would travel to other habitable planets and colonize planets. The ship would use radiation from stars to expand the ship and the food and water on board would be grown from this technology.
