Hello!
My name is Om Deshmukh, from the class of 2025. I’m proud to be part of Cornell University’s Engineering Family.
I’m a designer/builder/maker, and I’ve been interned at MIT Sea Grant building Drifter Technology. I also work with smart materials, (their properties and applications).
For MIT LaunchX, I designed and built a nitinol shape memory device that my team and now company (Falcn) has presented all over the United States in major competitions, winning several awards.
My desire to work on impactful projects, is the reason I am building with Arduino, sensors, interactive materials. I’m also exploring how synthetic and organic biomaterials and Physics contribute to future design for the vastness of outer space to the depths of the ocean, and the smart cities to come.
Most importantly, the human and bio-diverse connections I make in the process is what drives me to pursue ideation.
